Key Battle: Joleon Lescott v Tim Cahill. As a former Toffee, Lescott has much to prove to his former fans and he has taken his chance after the suspension of Kolo Toure. As a left-footer, he gives good balance to backline and is starting to show signs that he could stake his claim at international level as well. He will certainly know all about the dangers that Cahill will pose. With his late runs into the box, the Australian midfielder is a potent goal threat, although has started this season a little slowly as he has yet to hit the back of the net. Physically, Lescott should win, but the key could be if Everton play with a central striker and give Cahill a little more space with which to attack.
